Epidemiology
Epidemiologist with advanced experience with pediatric conditions, especially congenital heart disease, mental health, and chronic complex diseases; application of epidemiologic methods to evaluate inequalities and disparities in health outcomes, access to care, and health care utilization; and evaluation of geospatial patterns of disease. Extensive experience in various research methodologies, scientific theory, risk modeling, machine learning and predictive analytics.
Research experience includes designing and executing complex, longitudinal data analysis with large datasets; interpreting and translating results into meaningful recommendations; preparation of presentations and briefings; contributes to the development of abstracts, white papers, policy briefs and academic manuscripts.
Data Analysis
Proficient in Stata, R and ArcGIS in a wide variety of analytical applications. Experience with SAS, SQL and Python.
Advanced experience collecting, cleaning, linking, analyzing, and interpreting large volumes of quantitative data; proficient with linking qualitative and quantitative data.
Experience managing numerous large datasets including Medicare Inpatient Files, Medicare Carrier Files, state All-Payer Claims Data, American Hospital Association (AHA) annual survey files, American Community Survey (ACS) census files, Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS) files, Public Use Files and National Health and Examination Survey (NHANES) data.
Geographic Information Systems
Adept in geographical analysis and modeling. Proficient in applying data through statistical methods to identify geospatial trends, sequences, correlations, and relationships
